Hi, I am Alissa Kilpatrick. I am a proud Louisiana educator with over 15 years of experience. My areas of expertise include curriculum implementation, high quality instruction, assessment, dyslexia, literacy, student engagement, and early intervention. I hold a Masters degree in Special Education, and I'm passionate about providing high-quality education to students with disabilities.
I have served as a classroom teacher, NIET master teacher, school system coordinator, and at the Louisiana Department of Education. Over the years, I've developed a strong expertise in identifying and addressing the unique needs of students. I take great pride in seeing them thrive and succeed in their academic and personal lives.
As an educational leader, I believe in maintaining high expectations for all students and work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a culture of excellence and processes that encourage all students to reach their full potential. I'm well-versed in assessment techniques and use data-driven decision making to design effective instructional interventions that support, challenge and engage students.
In my free time, I enjoy watching LSU sports and traveling to new places. I am a foodie that loves cooking and trying out new restaurants. Reading is another favorite pastime of mine, and I enjoy curling up with a good book whenever I have a chance. Spending time with my four children and husband is a priority for me. We enjoy exploring new places and trying new activities together whenever we can.
My goal for the future is to continue to lead and inspire others in the field of education, and to ensure that every student receives an education that prepares them for success beyond high school. I'm committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students and their families, and I look forward to continuing to do so in the years ahead.
