Transition Employment Readiness Model

The Transition Employment Readiness Model (TERM) was created by RBW Consultants to assist school systems with building transition programming that provides opportunities for students to prepare for post-secondary life. TERM addresses transition requirements of the April Dunn Act and the LEAP Connect Pathway to a Diploma. It connects students with agencies outside of the public school system for a successful transition beyond high school and creates opportunities in training and skills development that transfer to adult employment and independent living.

As transition specialists, RBW offers expert guidance on strengthening and/or building transition programming for students with disabilities that is individualized to your district's needs. RBW Consulting will develop a step-by-step process for creating, implementing and funding transition programs. RBW Consultants would love to work hand in hand with your district to create transition opportunities for your students with disabilities!

Special Education Comprehensive Study

The Special Education Comprehensive Study (SPECS) is a comprehensive review of Special Education practices and compliance within a school system. The purpose of this review is to better understand identification, placement, and performance of students with disabilities. In order to build a thorough understanding of the current status, this comprehensive review includes staff interviews, educator surveys, data mining, and classroom observations. Using this information, RBW staff will analyze results and provide systems with not only a summary of findings, but also recommended action steps for improvement.

In addition to the thorough and comprehensive review provided by the Special Education Comprehensive Study, RBW offers a unique approach to supporting school systems in implementing change. RBW understands that every school system is unique and requires individualized support. Therefore, RBW's team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals work closely with school leaders to develop a tailored plan of action that addresses the specific needs of the system. This personalized approach ensures that school leaders receive targeted support and guidance that will lead to meaningful improvements in special education services. With RBW's support, school systems can confidently address compliance concerns and improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
